Southern Decadence
Each year, Labor Day weekend in New Orleans is filled with a host of parties, parades, brunches, and events in celebration of the city's LGBTQ community.
Bear Brunch
A monthly brunch organized for the gay community in New Orleans to connect and socialize in a new location every month, check the website for full details of the next Bear Brunch meeting.
New Orleans Pride
New Orleans Pride Weekend is officially set for June 9-12, with the Pride Parade on June 11, but you can find events all month long, including Black Pride NOLA. Recognized as one of the most welcoming cities for LGBTQ+ people, it’s no surprise that New Orleans is a top destination for celebrating Pride. Lonely Planet recently featured New Orleans as one of the best cities to celebrate Pride in the U.S.

Halloween New Orleans (HNO)
Halloween New Orleans is one of the most celebrated gay party weekends of the year while also being one of the longest-running and most respected fundraising events in the country. Join us for an incredible weekend of love, fun, friends and giving back!
Saints + Sinners Literary Festival
The Saints and Sinners Literary Festival was founded in 2003 as a new initiative designed as an innovative way to reach the community with information about HIV/AIDS, particularly disseminating prevention messages via the writers, thinkers and spokes-people of the LGBTQ+ community. It was also formed to bring the LGBTQ+ literary community together to celebrate the literary arts.
Bourbon Street Awards
Hundreds of people in colorful, elaborate and very flamboyant costumes compete for top honors each year for what are now known as the Bourbon Street Awards on Mardi Gras Day. Participants come to the contest from all over the world and are rewarded with a flashy spectacle that often defies the imagination and draws thousands as spectators.
Gay Easter Parade
The Gay Easter Parade started in 2000 in New Orleans, Louisiana as a fun way to showcase the fashion and creativity of the entire LGBT community “with ladies in gowns or summer suits with Easter Hats and gentlemen in summer suits or tuxedos.” It’s meant to be a fun cultural event the whole family can attend regardless of whether or not you identify as LGBT.
Undercurrent New Orleans
Every month or so we get a bunch of thirsty young horndogs into a combination lounge/BDSM dungeon space and we all take off our clothes and we hang out and be a bunch of gay idiots. Imagine a gay bathhouse but instead of showing porn on the TVs they're showing memes; we cannot actually afford TVs or baths but that's basically the energy we have going on.
